Building Your Business to Prosperity
In this fast paced world we constantly bombarded by things, stuff, information, etc that can lead us astray from what we really need to focus on and get done. Why do we even make the effort? If you’re building a business, you know how important it is to accomplish certain tasks in order for prosperity to come. Why is that important? I want to take a look at this from a emotional stand point, not just a logical one.
I’m reading a book right now titled “The Charge” by Brendon Burchard. The subtitle is Activating The 10 Human Drives That Make You Feel Alive. I’m only a few chapters in but, Wow, what a good read. In the video, I discuss just a couple concepts Brendon touches on and why it’s vitally important to have less distractions and more focus in your life.
Are You a Optimist?
Life comes at you hard sometimes. Are you up for the challenge? Several of my audio mentors discuss this concept. Jim Rohn talks about setting your sail. You can’t control the seas, the wind or the weather. You can only control the ship. There will be challenges, storms, doldrums and course corrections. You’ll crash into the rock if you’re not taking the helms and learning from your mistakes. Do you take these in stride with a smile on your face? The optimist does. That’s life. Embrace the challenges and control that which only you can control.
Set Your Routine
Are you exposing yourself to too many distractions? Get rid of them, or at the very least, minimize them. A consistent concept I hear from successful people is after they wake, go through their morning grooming and maybe a cup of coffee, they meditate, pray and/or read for 30 minutes. They don’t turn on the news, they don’t check their email (other people’s agenda’s) and focus on the critical tasks they need to accomplish for the day. Sounds like good advice to me. I’m sure if you implement this activity in to your daily routine, you would get more stuff done too.
Remember why and who you’re building a business for. The sense of fulfillment and personal accomplishment is wonderful. A true sense of fulfillment is not just to support your family, it’s also to positively affect people. To enrich their lives. To transform the mediocre to vibrant and celebrated lives. It’s up to you.
